Lesson #1.4

ANTICIPATING CONCERNS

As with any relatively new product, there are misconceptions. As a wellness professional, you have Mandara’s support when you need to clarify client concerns. Some clients may ask, “this is great but what’s the catch?” Or, “will I become addicted?” Fortunately, the World Health organization is on the record with the statement, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”  We want you to bring us your questions or concerns: that is how we work.

Clients may ask, ”Is this really legal?” Hemp, as mentioned, had a great Colonial-era fan base and it was a common, sometimes mandated, agricultural product –– that is –– up until 1970. Its membership in the cannabis family caused a ban in its production for almost 50 years. The recent resurgence in hemp and hemp products, such as CBD, is due to the “Hemp Farming Act of 2018” ratified into law, December 2018. We are back to valuing Hemp.
