“Wow,” you might be thinking, “there’s a lot of information here.” And you would be right! While we encourage our Mandara family to take a deep dive into the information found in a Certificate of Analysis, there are a few key measurements to look for: CBD content and the presence of unwanted microbes, solvents, heavy metals, and pesticides.
The most straightforward of the test results, cannabinoid content, specifies the milligrams of CBD found in a given product. This is helpful to determine the honesty and accuracy of the manufacturer—and confirm they aren’t selling hemp seed oil masquerading as CBD. The second point of interest for consumers in a Certificate of Analysis is the presence of what we don’t want, namely: microbial content, solvents, heavy metals, and pesticides. Why the concern?
